Mark this Day in History!

Today is a day over 200 years in the making! A man with African-American heritage has been sworn in as the 44th President of the United States Of America. I am so proud and honored to be living in this day and age. Today, any person who has the desire can achieve anything, and be anything they choose to be! I am excited that my (soon to be) 7 year old will grow up in a country with so much promise! I have always been proud to be an American, and today, along with that pride, I feel a sense of real hope.

The crowd that watched the inauguration was so diverse, so spread over the spectrum, that I realized what America is really about. It isn't about power, or money...it's about the people. We ,the people. We have more strength than any army, any terrorist group. We are the most powerful thing in this world....If we unite as one... If we stand together...If we work together..If we help one another. Nothing can destroy us.

Today is the day when tomorrow begins. We see the goal, and we will achieve it. We have the mind set and the abilities. We have the leaders. Let us start fresh, and make advancements in everything that we do. Let us not stay silent when we must make noise. This is our country, and we must make it better.

To those of you who are still wary of President Obama, I say "Be still, stay calm.."Let us see what happens. Changes don't come in a day..They happen over time..and we have time!

President Obama, the nation is yours to lead..make us proud!
