Macen at the School Board Meeting

Macen and his 1st grade class had the privilege of saying the Pledge of Allegiance at our school board meeting tonight. After they were finished they each read what the word "RESPONSIBILITY" means to them. It was AWESOME!
On January 14, 2009 Macen Caufield Led the Pledge of Allegiance for the Churchill County Board of School Trustees.
He got something in his eye before he had to read..but he did great!

"The Pledge of Allegiance" was first recited by public school children during the National School Celebration in 1892.
The celebration was to mark the 400th anniversary of the discovery of America.
In 1954, Congress added the words "under God."
