Macen and his friend Asa were playing outside the other night. I was busy doing yard work and Asa's mom was washing her car...there were plenty of puddles to play in!

Maddie's first day of school

So, this is my beautiful niece Maddie. She started 1st grade today. Isn't she cute? She lives in Connecticut with her Mom (my sister Kim) her dad, her brother and sister. The whole family is amazing. It's hard being so far away from them. The kids are growing up so fast! Maddie was just a baby when Grant and I got married!

Macen got a red fire bike this year. He still doesn't want to give up the trike that Grandma and Grandpa Wadley got him for Christmas.

Macen started Kindergarden on Monday the 20th. He was ready for school! He told me that I was driving him crazy!

Macen at Tae Kwon Do

This is Macen at his Tae Kwon Do class. He's getting really good at it. He's already a Senior White belt. We're going for his yellow belt pretty soon!

This is Macen waiting (impatiently) to go down the slide at the Farmer's Market..His favorite thing in the world!

Going down the slide! He get's to slide as many times as he wants for about 15 minutes. He'll slide about 30 times, rest for about 5 minutes then start all over! What a kid!

Macen spent the summer in the water this year. He swam in the pool in the backyard until he realized that the pool on base was much bigger. He' a little fish. I think he'll take after Uncle John in the swimming department.

We went to breakfast on Father's day. Macen and Daddy spent the time waiting for food by playing with Macen's motorcylces.

We love the Farmer's market on Maine Street. Grant and I love the food, Macen loves the big slide!

I am such a sucker for peer pressure

Okay, so I have given in to peer pressure. My friends have a blog spot, so I decided to start one too. Probably won't be as exciting as others, but hey, it is what it is.
Today was Macen's first day of school. He was so excited. I was excited for him(I'll admit that I have a hard time with him being in kindergarten) He goes to EC Best. He has Mr. Johnson. It's his first "man" teacher. We'll see how it goes.

Grant is so tired this week. He's helping with the new chief selectees this month. He's out the door by 5 am and usually goes strong all day. He's coaching Macen's soccer team (the Mighty Machines) and he helps up at the race track every weekend. What a guy I married.
